Re: Boris's Bikes

Time will tell, but this set is pretty close to the Thames so it's just a matter of time.

Re: I love trains.

That's what they said about the Channel Tunnel Rail link but once it was started it was completed within 5 years, incuding the tunnel boring.

Re: Ball Heads

How easy do you find it to move the head around with the grip? Mine protests and is not smooth at all. It tends to jerk, and is difficult to position. I have the pistol grip ball head but the one where the grip is at right angles to the release plate. I find it can be a little jerky if it hasn't be...

Re: My processor setup for developing

That's the old Jobo CPE2 processor isn't it?

We had one at the commissioners and used it for everything from processing colur prints to 5 x 4 film sheets. A very versatile machine.

Re: Boris's Bikes

It was the first real test for it and considering the awful images I'd got from previous camera phones I was amazed! Re: Rechargable batteries.

The "memory" problem only really apply's to Ni-Cad batteries, most modern batteries are Ni-amh and don't have the same problem. They do, however, eventually wear out, but I'm still using a couple of sets that came with my Fuji S2 back in 2004.

Re: Flash photography.

Sorry about the delay, I should check these pages more often. Right going to try and reply to the question :) Place diffuser on flashead as described and angle flash to about 45 degrees to give a omnidirectional type light. Set the flash to Auto, not ttl and take a reading in manual of your subject;...

Re: D7000

Only thing about the D7000, though good on paper, it hasn't got a pro spec body and so probably wouldn't be that great on a proper shoot. Still sticking with my two D200 bodies at the mo but thinking about adding a D700.

Boris's Bikes

A few weeks back, London Mayor, Boris Johnson inaugurated the first online bike hire scheme in London, based on a system that is available in Paris. You sign up online, obtain a key and get up to 30 mins free between docking stations, with extra time charged to your credit card. These were taken as ...
