Nice series, Jon. Really like the window shot. Very colorful.
Three Scores and 14 years old and still going strong.

Thanks John. The Cathedral really has some nice stained glass windows!

I also really like this new lens. I have never been able to go so wide before. It really helps to get the shot when there is stuff in the way. You just have to get closer, to miss that stuff. And, you still can get everything in!

By the way, image #2 has an interesting story. The house was built between 1765 and 1769. During the Civil War, when the North finally occupied the city, this house was used by the North as a headquarters. They wanted to have a larger flag on the building, so they punched a hole right at the top, above the round window in the attic, and pushed a large flagpole and flag through the hole. After the house was returned to the owners, they just pulled the flagpole and flag back into the attic, and sealed up the hole. They chose not to replace the missing decorative trim, to remind them of what had happened. Even today, the flagpole is still in the attic.

This was told to me by a guy who saw me taking this image. He was in the process of working on some restorations on the building, and was shown the flagpole by the current owner. I had a great conversation with him.
