I like it but just can't make up my mind if it looks to have to much sharpening or not. The grass looks ok though so it must just be my new eyes. Which camera did you use?

I used my D700. I don't think that I did too much sharpening, just minimal. But, I can redo it!

It's probably just all the fine moss reflecting the light. I have had that problem before. Thought I was over-sharpening while all along it was just fine detail bouncing back at me

Well, I did shoot this with my 180mm f3.5 macro. It's made by Sigma, and is extremely sharp. I'm still going to play with the image though.

Okay, here are three versions of the above image. I tried to remember the processing I used on the one above, but if not, it is close. I tend to give the same processing to each camera.

Here is the image just converted from the NEF file:



Here is the image using Photoshop's Auto Levels:



Here is the image using the Auto Levels, and adjusting Brightness/Contrast:



None of these three images are sharpened in any way.

So, what do you think? Am I oversharpening? Or am I overadjusting the Brightness/Contrast?

Boy Jon, that is a hard one. They are all so close. Think I tend to lean toward No. 1. I don't know why but on my monitor it just looks more natural.
