AF-S Nikkor 70-200 f/4G ED VR

Post by jon.oman »

Well, this one came today also! With this lens, and the new 14-24mm lens, and my old 24-70mm Sigma, I can now go from 14mm to 200mm with just three lenses. All of them can be hand held, although I usually use a tripod. Here are a few test images for the 70-200 from this afternoon:

I have an f2.8 70-200 and love it for its sharpness and pnly wish I could get to use it more often.

I decided I did not need the extra weight and expense of the f2.8 version. I do very little photography that requires the f2.8. The f4 that I bought is supposed to be just as sharp, and can be hand held. The tripod collar is optional.....
