D7000

Was just looking at the specs on this camera and it is impressive. It has a CMOS sensor and is 16.2 mpixs. The rear screen is as large as the D3 and guess it can do videos too. Don't think that would be it's strong point though (at least not for me). I see the camera shops are taking pre-orders for it. Not sure what the price is on it.

Just got an e mail from Nikon to valued professional user. Assumed it was for Rick and not me....


Anyway more new lenses. THere was a time when Nikon brought out a new camera it was rare. Now its every season I cant keep up anymore.

Lenses seem to be updated more often or manufactured cheaper in Thailand.

Anyway happy with lot at present.

I agree. never seen so many new cameras and lens. I am satisfied with my lens selection and don't plan on buying anymore unless one of these breaks.

28-70 f 2.8 and its working fine now.

Only thing about the D7000, though good on paper, it hasn't got a pro spec body and so probably wouldn't be that great on a proper shoot. Still sticking with my two D200 bodies at the mo but thinking about adding a D700.

I really like my D700. The high ISO is just great! For casual shooting, I have no problems setting it on auto-ISO, with a top setting of 3200.
