Wonder if the problems in Japan is going to raise the price of cameras and other electronic products?

Yes it will. There will be shortages, which will increase the prices.

Interesting how fast the shortages showed up. Boeing is crying because parts of their new aircraft is made in Japan. Even the auto industry is complaining about shortage of parts. Heck it has only been a couple weeks since the earthquake, am surprised the shops are already out of parts.

For years now, the auto industry has used "just in time" parts shipment. They do it to reduce the amount of warehouse storage they need. We will be seeing the downside of that!

Just wait until you need parts for you cycle. Even if it not made in Japan, probabley lots of the parts are made there. There's not many items made now-a-days that don't have some parts from either Japan or China in it.

We were locked out from the host provider for a while. I don't know what they did, but things are working now.
