Flash question.....

Could be the white on the cycle is fooling the flash. The photo looks about 1/2 to a full stop underexposed to me.

Check your exposure mode. For this type of shot, you may want to be in spot mode. Use it to measure the non-white area of the shot. For a scene with less white, you may be able to use matrix mode. Experiment!

Only ever come up with this problem at this show. Its a large old fashioned hall with poor lighting.

Never any problems in NEC in England. :D

I remember back in the old days when we had to balance the flash with the available light. Don't remember how we did it but it may be something you could check into.There should be some books on the subject.
