Weather

Post by JohnSR »

Just saw on TV the weather report for the central part of the U.S.A. Hope you are staying cool Jon. With the temp up in the 100's, bet there isn't many people outside today.

My wife had me buy and install a window AC unit here in Iowa. She can not take the heat because of medical problems. I had fun installing it, since this house has the new plastic replacement windows. I had to build a wood plateform for the AC unit. So, we are fine, at least when we are in the bedroom!

We have a marine layer in this morning with the temp about 62 degrees. Looks like it is going to be that way rest of the week. No summer this year.

It's snowing north of Seattle but just rain down here. Cold weather coming down from Canada susposed to hit this afternoon and the rain will change over to snow. To bad about the twister that hit NC. Is it the start of what is to come?

Sunny skies here, but cold. Temp is about 45 degrees. Over night, it got below freezing.

By the way, I read an article in Time magazine. The scientists who study this don't agree on the synchronization of the Mayan calendar with ours. The consensus is that it may be off by 50 to 100 years. So, don't count on anything!
