Interesting article. Was just reading something along this same line in the 'Pro" section of DP. Way I understand it, if a preson does photo work under a "work for hire" contract then the company who hired him owns the rights to everything the photographer shoots during the time he is on the clock. Never ran across this but find it interesting. What is a wedding shoot called if not a "work for hire". Am going to research this a little more as it just don't seem right

I thought this was interesting as well. I've done a few jobs for people. I've charged a small fee for each session, and then a price per print. The type of photography it is, does not lend itself to any sales other than the ones made to the customer. So, I do create a gallery on SmugMug for the project, but I make it a hidden one. I treat the job as a one time thing, without any future sales.
