Went looking for batteries yesterday.
How long to they last ? as some of my older ones dont seem to be holding their charge for very long.
They do have a life of so many charges dont they ??
Rechargable batteries.
Re: Rechargable batteries.
I understand a person has to "deep cycle" them every so often. I know on the 2 mtr ham radio the battery had to be deep cycled after so many charges. Had to buy a resistor to slowly bleed it flat. The darn batteries develops a memory where they won't charge below that amount. The only way to remove the memory is to deep cycle. One thing though, I think the D3 battery charger will do it automatically when it sense a memory problem.

Re: Rechargable batteries.
The "memory" problem only really apply's to Ni-Cad batteries, most modern batteries are Ni-amh and don't have the same problem. They do, however, eventually wear out, but I'm still using a couple of sets that came with my Fuji S2 back in 2004.

Back on this topic again.
Binned the entire stock of AA Re-chargeable batteries about 30 Total.
Pished off recently trying to work out which ones hold their charge and which are junk.
Whole lot went BINside in the recyle bin of local Supermarket.
8 new Duracell are now in stock for the Annual Christmas Photos.
