What you think the i-pad is for ?

Hi Sparkey

Yes it really is me, I'm back!! Hope that you're keeping well :)

I had a similar problem a couple of years ago with the Nikon P5600 that I briefly had, that and the review screen banding. I cut my losses I'm afraid and bought the little Leica which is still going great guns.

BTW, still have the 2x D200s but haven't yet got the D700/D3 :)

Keep well

Richard

Great to see you back Rick. Not much going on over here in Washington State except all the rain. Looks like May will be the wettest on the record books. But am thankful I don't live along the Mississippi River. Plan to get out and start taking photos again if it ever warms up some.

Good to hear from you again Rick.

Rang the camera shop today to be told nikon are waiting on spares. Knew this would be the case but they hope to have news next week.

'Good to be back guys! :)

How long have you had the camera Sparkey?

Just wondered if it might be better to cut to the chase with them and ask for a replacement citing "unfit for purpose". I did that with an amplifier a few years back, despite it being nearly 2 years old.

Only have it since Christmas Rick. Love the camera for what it is and does but feel that this sliding curtain arrangement really sucks. The guy in the shop said that Canon/Nikon changed this a few years ago for the normal lens cap and why they went back nobody knows. What cracks me up is that the lens works fine and just this little curtain gets stuck. I could push it back with my finger each time but whats the point in that. I dont like the G 12 and hope they can get the Nikon to work the way it was intended.
