Picked up the little SB400 this afternoon. Great little piece of kit once again from Nikon.

Best part is that is can be used on D3 and D 200 as well as P7000.

Powered by 2 AA batteries of which I have loads anyway.

I went to an archery 3-D tournament today. Didn't do any shooting as was just checking out the competition. Think I'm doing ok with my practice as compared to what was seen out there, Maybe this spring will enter some.

No, just wanted to see how good I was getting compared to other shooters. Of course I shoot every day while they probably only shoot on the weekends. My muscles are finally starting to harden up so not using much BenGay now :D :D Like I said think I'll be ready in the spring.

OK with regard recycling.

The one thing about this camera is that it is a Coolpix and not DSLR size.

It is not as quick as D3 or D200.

There is a lag of about 1 second between shots approx. I tend to not get concerned about it anymore.

Sticking the Speedlight on top and the ready button only comes on when camera is also ready. Strange one but suppose it makes sense that no point in flash being ready to fire if camera cant play too.

All in all its easier to carry round and not as heavy. The quality of the pics are acceptable for small sized lens and after that it is up to you to decide if it what you looking for.

I am very happy with it and look forward to trying out in la la land on next visit.

Is there much delay between the time you press the shutter and when it actually takes the photo?
