Any suggestions for lens to take pics of Baby ?

Have a 35 and 85 prime but was thinking of the trusty 28-70 f2.8 and shooting wide open at 2.8 ?

I think I would try the 85. It would allow some distance, so that the baby is not startled. Otherwise, the zoom lens.
