So, they had the C: drive as 1 TB? Usually they partition the physical drive into two logical drives. 180 GB for logical drive C: (with the operating system on it), and the rest for logical drive D: (the data drive).

Have to check that out. Think it is partitioned with a D drive but think it is used to store the operation system in case a person needs to re-install. That was the way it was with the old computer. The partition was real small with just enough room the store the backup system.

Just checked and the D partition is real small 1.3G and all that is in it is a folder called "Recovery"

I forgot that some manufacturers do that. But, you could create a directory on the C: drive called something like 'mydata', and put all your play files in it. Then use the new drive to back these files up to. That way, if you do it correctly, you won't lose your important links!

I just finished two books by the same author. "Demolition Angel" and "Chasing Darkness", both by Robert Crais. Both were good page turners. The first one was about a serial bomber. The second one about a serial murderer. Seems like a theme doesn't it? Anyway, I would recommend both books.
