Hope this works out for us. Been studying like crazy for the Extra class Amatuer Radio license. Of all the test I have taken (commerical and instrument pilot tests, Airframe and powerplant tests, novice, technical, general and advanced amatuer radio tests) this one is the hardest so far. I normally just study the test questions but with this one there are 50 questions with the question pool of 720 question and answers. Just don't know it this old brain can retain that many.

If you have done all that other stuff, you should do fine on this one!
Now, I never could learn Morse code. I never had any problems with the theory or practical stuff. Damn code!

Jon, did you know the FCC did away with code a couple years ago. Now you can go from Tech to Extra without learning code. All all the bands are available depending on which license you hold. I am begaining to wonder if all the studying is worth the extra 25 kcs of band width though. I have 30 days from today to get this test down. I am getting better with the practice tests though.

Well, the door is open, and everyone is welcome! Since I'm the admin, maybe I can fix any problems that come up. At this point, this site is not infected like the old one. I had to use Linux to view the old site because of the viruses I was getting using Windows.

I saw that they were considering getting rid of the code requirement, but not that they actually did. Now, my knowledge is so out of date, I would have to relearn just about everything!

I'm looking into it, but not seeing anything wrong yet.......
I turned on notification for my posts, and I'm not seeing them either.

John,
For a thread that you want notifications on, the "subscribe topic" item must be selected. Check the lower left part of the screen. Let me know if your screen shows "unsubscribe topic" (which is correct for notification to work) or "subscribe topic" (which means that post notification will not be used).
