Got invited to the launch of the Z6 last week. Had already seen the Z7 the previous week.
Substantial camera in your hands. New range of lenses that are razor sharp. Don’t come cheap.
No rushing out to but either unless I win the lotto.

Re: Nikon mirrorless cameras
Lotto here is about 1 chance in 302 million of winning. But someone in my state just won 1.5 billion dollars!
Re: Nikon mirrorless cameras
The new Nikon lenses for the mirrorless cameras don’t come in gold boxes..........
They tell me the boxes are black.

Re: Nikon mirrorless cameras
Well, that would stop me from buying them! I have to have gold!
Re: Nikon mirrorless cameras
Z7 is offered with discount yesterday in my camera store. That didnt last very long.

Lotto, a common refrain!
I am happy with my D800. I don't think I will upgrade, unless the D800 dies.

Re: Nikon mirrorless cameras
I think the adapter for the Z cameras to accept the current lenses is pure ugly. The new Z lenses are very expensive to buy after buying the camera.
Saw a review on internet the other day where some photographers were testing the Z6/7 on a wildlife shoot. They were in a moving boat and the animals were moving too. ( As they do) The mirrorless Nikon could not cope and missed the shots every time. One guy said he would have nailed those shots with his D850 every time. I know these are testing conditions but they are trying to get pros to move over to Z cameras.
Having said that I probably would buy one to see what all the fuss is about if I had the funds.

Re: Nikon mirrorless cameras
Most of my images are landscapes, or city scenes, so the Z cameras would not be a problem for me. But, I guess I am old school, and will stay with the DSLR's.
