Isn't a Citroen made in France? When I was flying, had a vhf radio in the plane that was made in France. I had so much trouble with it, finally replaced it with a German model. Later the FAA had France do a recall on them. That was the only experience I have had with something made in France. It left a bad taste in my mouth as those dang radios are very expensive for what you get. Live and learn, I guess.

Yes it was a French car and in fact it was the 3rd Citroen I'd owned, so I was fairly confident that it would be fine. Turns out the gearbox had been a problem with deveral models and that part was Italian and actually made by Maserati!!!!
I now have a car from a Japanese company made in the Czech Republic. Nothing is straightforward these days.
