It was my first Nikon and have searched to buy another for years. Yesterday I bought one on the internet but will be a few weeks before it arrives. More to follow......

Did you get a lens that will fit it? Newer lenses may not.....

My first Nikon was a Nikon FTN, which I bought from Japan in 1969.

As far as I know all my D series lens will fit. The G lenses won't.

Forgot to say they will be manual focus only as this is a manual focus camera. Where I learnt all about Aperture Priority which I still use and love today.

I use Aperture Priority about 95% of the time. So, I know what you mean....

Bought a roll of Black and White film today Ilford XP2 in anticipation of arrival.

I like XP2. It is really nice if you can find a lab that does a good job of developing it. Some are not the cleanest in the world.

My local camera shop will do the developing for me. Still holding breath as to what this old camera can do. Should be here next week.

I hope you get a good one! I can appreciate nostalgia. From time to time, I have looked at getting another Nikon FTn.
